Overview of Shreder Shred Streams and Yellowstone Geyser gRPC
Shreder data streams sit in two families:
- Shred Streams — earliest block data (shreds): Raw Shreds, Decoded Shreds, Binary, Preconfs
- Yellowstone Geyser gRPC — 100% compatible with standard Yellowstone Geyser gRPC: Regular Geyser and Fastlane
Products
Geyser gRPC / Fastlane
100% compatible with standard Yellowstone Geyser gRPC. Regular Geyser or Fastlane with the same client code.
Decoded Shreds
ShredStream gRPC: decoded pre-execution transactions from shreds with account filters.
Binary
Serialized VersionedTransaction bytes from shreds for minimal latency.
Preconfs
Binary add-on: pre-shred data from connected leaders, typically 5–50 ms earlier.

Decoded Shreds and Binary are pre-execution Shred Streams. They do not include post-execution account state, logs, balances, or final outcomes — use Geyser gRPC / Fastlane for that.
